Kane celebrates his century goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has revealed that his interest in coming back to the Premier League has lessened and he is prepared to discuss a new contract with Bayern Munich.
The accomplished striker is presently midway through the four-year deal he agreed to when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the transfer window of 2023.
The 32-year-old forward has accumulated an impressive 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German club, helping them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which represented the initial major trophy of his notable career.
Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has earlier expressed that he would welcome to see Kane go back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring milestone of 260.
However, the England captain has now clarified that he is no longer as enthusiastic about going back home as he once was, and would certainly contemplate lengthening his time in Bavaria.
"In terms of remaining longer, I could certainly see that," he remarked.
"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be open to talk and have an straightforward conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so progresses and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not focusing about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have learned in my career is that different options and different timings happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."
Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the record top scorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the speediest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five leagues, reaching the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a honor had avoided him until he won the German title last season.
Kane states that he was not sure how he would feel after breaking his trophy drought, but now feels it has made him eager for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.
"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
